How to unlock your iPhone | AnySim 1.01

I do NOT claim anything here. I did not create any of these applications nor did I come up with the idea or even these instructions to install. I just know there are people out there that are curious about to process since they might not have done it yet and are wondering what is involved, or some people are not as computer savy and need to have their hand held every step of the way. I’ve unlocked a phone the Hardware way, and this is many times simpler! This process will asume you are stuck at the activation screen on your iPhone and it is brand new out of box. If it is not, restore it back to version 1.0.2 but make sure you do not update or restore PAST 1.0.2 because this unlocking process probably will not work anymore. All the files needed for this process are included with this README.txt and the only thing you need is a computer and of course an iPhone!

1. First, Make sure the iPhone is version 1.0.2 if it is not you might have to activate, then update to 1.0.2. If the phone is older and is NOT version 1.0.2 try using a hacked version of iTunes and dvdjon’s activation server to get access to iTunes restore/update firmware option. To do that, you will need to have the .NET Framework 2.0 installed on your computer. I will not include the files for that here, as they are readily available all over the internet. I left the original ATT Sim card in the phone while doing the unlock.
2. If the iPhone is brand new and out of the box with fw ver. 1.0.2 or is already updated to 1.0.2 open iBrickr.exe and select “Free my iPhone!”. This will automatically jailbreak your iPhone for you with no need to activate first. If iBrickr says the iPhone is not connected, restart your iPhone and your computer and try again.
3. Once done the iPhone has to break jail, reboot the iPhone into recovery mode by holding down the power button and the guide button for around 25 seconds but DO NOT let go until the phone turns on and then gives the black screen with the yellow triangle with the exclaimation mark that says Please Connect to iTunes. iBrickr will automatically detect this mode and then start modifying the phone which can take some time. When it is done successfully, iBrickr will finish and click on the button that says “Sweet!”. iTunes may open itself, just go ahead and close it and iBrickr.
4. Open up the PACAY folder included with this file and run the, “(CLICK HERE) activate.bat” file. It will ask you if you are ready, just make sure that you have charged your iPhone and is still docked and on. If you are ready hit space bar or any button. It will go through a few processes and when it stops, it will ask you to restart your iPhone again. You do NOT need to restart it into recovery mode, just hold the power button until it shows the red slider and slide it off. When you see it shut off, turn it back on and Wait for it to start up. This is called a soft-restart. If iTunes pops up, just close it again.
5. Now go back to the PACAY dos window and hit spacebar again. Your iPhone should now be activated with YouTube support! Hit spacebar one more time to close the window.
6. (This is a optional Step) This is when I installed AppTapp which is a VERY nice installer program. It will install some custom programs to your iPhone effortlessly such as Games, OpenSSH, chat clients, wallpaper packages, Ringtones and more. If you do not want to do this, skip to step 7. Open AppTappInstaller.exe and make sure iTunes is closed. Select version 1.0.2 and click install. It will automatically terminate iTunesHelper and iPhoneComm for you so you do not need to worry about this. You will hear your iPhone turning on and off which is normal. When it is done go ahead and close it.
7. Now, on your iPhone go to, “Settings” then, “General” and change Auto-Lock to “Never”. You do not HAVE to do this anymore with this procedure, but it helps when trying to see if the iPhone is done flashing later on.
8. Open iBrickr and if you have jailbroken it correctly, it should give you a couple options like Ringtones, sounds, Applications and Files. Select Applications. Click Install anySIM-1.01.pxl. It will do some preparing, then it will tell you to restart your phone. Do it again as a soft-restart by holding just the power button. Click ahead. It will ask you to restart again, Do so. When its finished rebooting, click “Check PXL”. You will now be at the Applications manager. Click “Install from PXL”. It will open up a browsing window. Just go find the anySIM-1.01.pxl file in this folder and select the anySIM-1.01.pxl file and it will automatically install. When its finished it will say Install Complete. Give the iPhone about 30 seconds to get the PXL package installed and ready on your iPhone. When its finished, it will automatically soft-reset. Close iBrickr.
9. Run anySIM.pxl which is the newest icon on your iPhone. It should say “slide to unlock” slide it and the unlocking process will begin. This process WILL take between 3-7 minutes, so don’t freak out thinking that it broke. I know you are anxious but just chill out. When its finished, it will run the baseband updater and start the iPhone services and tell you it is completed.
10. Restart your iPhone, insert the SIM card of your choice and make some calls!
11. Run PACAY's activate.bat AGAIN (fix youtube again)
12. Run iBrickr again Applications-> on the Right hand side on the iPhone thingie, click the minus next to unlock to uninstall it. (You do not want to run this unlocking application twice on a unlocked phone)
13. To get Edge to work you will need to enter your correct setting which I have provided below. (SETTINGS -> GENERAL -> NETWORK -> EDGE (ENTER YOUR EDGE SETTINGS)
